The Department of Political Sciences and Centre for Mediation in Africa invite you to a public seminar on the topic, "Mediation in Sudan and South Sudan", to be presented by Haile Menkerios on 24 March.

Over the past decade the United Nations has been involved in mediating and supporting mediation in Sudan and more recently South Sudan. Few people are as well equipped to talk about this as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative to the African Union and Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan, Haile Menkerios. Prior to his appointment as Under Secretary General, Menkerios served, inter alia, as Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and as Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
