The distinguished adjudicators presiding over the delegates are South African Ambassadors Johannes J Spies, who is currently stationed in Mauritania, and Thomas Wheeler, a research associate at the South African Institute of International Affairs. 

The event will see participating faculties attempt to unseat the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences from its previous winning position. It also concludes a successful year for the Pretoria Chapter of the United Nations Association of South Africa: it included the First Model United Nations South African University Conference, where the university's teams placed first and third.
