Honours studies

Students who wish to apply for the honours programme need a minimum of 65% average in their third year major, e.g. in International Relations or in Political Science, in order to be admitted into the programme. Further information can be obtained from the department.
 
The first meeting for students who have been admitted into the honours programme by the Head of Department will take place on Thursday 7 February 2013, at 17h30 in HB 21-16. During this meeting students will receive information on the lecturers of each module, the timetables and the commencement of lectures. Current honours students who are in the process of completing their studies must also attend this meeting.

Master's studies

Students who have completed their Honours degrees and who are interested in pursuing research-based master's studies need an average of at least 65% for their honours studies in Political Sciences (Political Science and/or International Relations) and have to apply for admission. The Departmental Guidelines are available from the departmental secretary (HB 21-14).

Please note that there is no intake of students for the coursework Master's of Diplomatic Studies.

Master's of Security Studies (MSS)

Contact the department concerning possible vacancies in the coursework Master's of Security Studies which commences in 2013 (consult the Faculty of Humanities Postgraduate Yearbook 2013 for admission and additional requirements). The first meeting of students admitted to the MSS programme (MSS) will be on Tuesday 5 February 2013 at 17h30 in HB 21-16.
