Roger Southall is Professor Emeritus in Sociology, University of the Witwatersrand and a Research Associate of the Society, Work and Development Institute. He is currently the Van Zyl Slabbert Visiting Professor for Sociology and Political Sciences at the University of Cape Town. Prof Katabaro Miti (Department of Political Sciences) and Prof Henning Melber (Department of Political Sciences and Director Emeritus of the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation) will act as discussants. Prof Maxi Schoeman (Head of Department) will moderate the discussion. The Department of Political Science will also present the latest issue of Strategic Review for Southern Africa at the event. Light refreshments will be served after the launch. |
