Seminar invitation: Ukraine

Posted on May 02, 2014

Yarik Turianskyi, a Ukrainian national living in South Africa since 2001, is the Programme Manager for Governance and APRM at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA). The programme he manages is a recent SAIIA initiative, jointly launched with the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA). His research and advocacy on the APRM has required him to travel extensively, continentally as well as nationally.

Mr Turianskyi holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pretoria, where he lectured before he joined SAIIA in 2008. He continues to do ad hoc lecturing to undergraduate and postgraduate UP students on a range of topics, including APRM, Good Governance, and Foreign Policy. He is interviewed frequently by the South African media, and most recently specifically on the unfolding events in Ukraine.
