The meeting started with some snacks and refreshments in the tea room of the physics department.
Igle Gledhill from the CSIR, former WiPiSA Chair and President Elect of the SAIP gave a short presentation on the various obstacles and hindrances some women face in a scientific or research environment.
This was followed by a discussion on various aspects that those present had experienced or know that other women have faced in a scientific or research environment. Discussions continued as the students and staff enjoyed a light meal.
