Patnerships and Collaborations:
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Pretoria has an agreement with the Radboud University Nijmegen. A number of postgraduate students from the Department have visited Nijmegen and gained credits as part of the requirements for their honours degrees in philosophy at our University. Financial assistance in the form of bursaries has been successfully arranged for these students.
Meraka Centre for AI Research
Council for Scientific and Industrial Research
The University of Pretoria and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) signed a Collaboration Agreement pertaining to the Department of Philosophy and the Meraka Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR) in 2015. Prof Ruttkamp-Bloem is a researcher at CAIR and also the [email protected] representative and node leader. The agreement allows research collaboration, joint post-doctoral fellow programs, and financial assistance in the form of scholarships to postgraduate students working in the Department of Philosophy on themes in the intersection between Knowledge Representation and Reasoning and Philosophy.
