Prof Ute Feucht
Professor Ute Feucht is a Community Paediatrician and full professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Pretoria. She also serves as the Director of the Research Centre for Maternal, Fetal, Newborn, and Child Health Care Strategies at the University. The Centre focuses on pioneering clinical research, frontline implementation research, and exploring sustainable strategies for clinical interventions, primarily at primary and secondary levels of care. In addition, Prof Feucht serves as the Paediatrician in the Tshwane District Clinical Specialist Team, holding a joint appointment in the Gauteng Department of Health. In this role, she is responsible for enhancing neonatal and child health services at the district level. Her key responsibilities include clinical governance, risk management, training and mentoring, quality improvement, and care coordination.
