From 9 to 11 September 2020, the Department of Old Testament and Hebrew Literature in the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Pretoria hosted a virtual conference which was centred on the theme, “Exodus Motifs in the Old Testament and Hebrew Literature.

Prof Dirk Human, as Head of the Department, helped lead the event, which included the presentation of papers on such scholarly topics as “Irrationality in times of crisis: An analysis of Exodus 32”, and “Biblical Nationalism? Some Observations on Nation in the Pentateuch’s History of Translation”, as well as “The Passover in 2 Chronicles 30 and 35”.  During these three days, a total of 26 papers were presented, with robust discussion following there from, all summarised in the programme, which contains further links to the audio recordings of each speaker.
