The University of Pretoria will be looking to maintain their dominant position at the top of the table as they face the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in a double header hosted by the Pretoria team this coming Monday.
The University of Free-State will be taking on The University of Johannesburg in a crucial encounter as the semi-final stages approach. This will be followed by UP-Tuks first match in front of a home crowd in this edition of Varsity netball. “ It will be great to play for our home crowd and to feel them backing us in the few games we have left, just knowing they support us” commented UP-Tuks goal keeper, Jasmine Ziegelmeier.
Ziegelmeier has been a feature in all of UP-Tuks matches so far and will retain her place in the team as Coach Jenny van Dyk included 3 players in the team to gain vital experience as a means of providing the whole Squad with valuable game time. Dune Streuker, Anke Nothnagel and Unelle Snyman will be looking to make their impact on court while the experienced duo Izette Lubbe and Tshina Mdau retain their spot alongside captain, Shadine vd Merwe. “We just have to stay composed and keep working hard on correcting unnecessary mistakes” concluded Ziegelmeier.
You can catch both games live on Supersport Select Kovsies vs UJ 17:30 & UP-Tuks vs Madibas 19:00
