After beating Central Gauteng and Griqualand-West on Monday, NG on Tuesday, 4 August also took care of Zululand (65-25) and later North West South (75-27).

The win against North West South is very significant. According to NG team manager Jenny van Dyk the NWS team is for all practical purposes the same one that won the recent USSA tournament in Johannesburg for Pukke.

“It was a remarkable performance, one we’re very proud of,” added Jenny.

She named goal shooter Yolandi Bandenhorst (with a average success rate of 93%), centre Erin Burger and goal defender Simone van Heerden as the three players who have excelled most so far. All three are Tukkies.

NG will finish their pool fixtures on Wednesday, 5 August when they play FS Mosheo.
