Welcome to MRYE website. MRYE was found in July 2005. The first visit was to a numbrer of schools in Nquthu, KZN (Phakathwayo High, Ubongumenzi Secondary, Msimbu High, Siyanda Secondary and Zamokwakhe High Schools). The first visit was funded by the members. After that trip, Prof. Wingfield from CTHB agreed to sponsor the initiative. Since then MRYE has been to KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Free State and North West.
MRYE targets rural schools which are far from tertiary institutions. We aim to galvanize the rural youth of South Africa and close the gap as they seldom get the relevant information about tertiary institutions and possible careers.Please feel free to contact us for clarity on any of the information on this website or for any contibution that you may have.
