The UP Executives together with the ITS and Library executives reached a consensus in 2018 to incorporate all the student computers that are based within the Library environments to Unit for Academic IT. The primary objective of the Unit is to serve as an interface between the academic enterprise and Information Technology Services thereby improving the overall experience of academic clients.
The Student Computing Services section, the focus area for the Unit for Academic IT, is responsible for delivering IT services to the student community. This section provides the registered UP students with access to computer equipment, software, and technical support that facilitates their specific learning needs on a daily basis.
