#TuksSwimming: Schoenmaker off to a fast start at the Commonwealth Games

Tatjana Schoenmaker had a near perfect start to the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games this morning swimming a time of 30.92s in the 50m breaststroke heats.

Her time is 0.09s outside the African record set by Penny Heyns in 1999. Schoenmaker’s time was the third fastest in the heats.Only England’s Sarah Vasey (30.77s) and Australia’s Leiston Pickett (30.87s) were faster in the heats.

Schoenmaker is competing in the semi-finals at 14:06 (SA Time) this afternoon.
