Gift Leotlela (TuksSport High School) and Gezelle Magerman claimed Gold in their respective events at the CAA Southern Region U20 Championships in Lusaka over the weekend.
Gift took gold in the 100m in 10.47s and more gold when he won the 200m in an Olympic qualifying time of 20.47s.
Gezelle Magerman won the 400-hurdles in a time of 59.18s.

Thando Roto clocked a time of 10.31s for a third-place finish at the Elite d’Herouvill Saint-Clair Meeting in France and continued with another bronze in the 100m B-final in 10.36s at the CaBW Meeting in Nivelles, Belgium on 18 June.

On Friday, 17 June at the Adidas Boston Games, Akani Simbine finished 4th in the 100m at the same meeting, clocking a time of 10.32s. Marvin Bracy (USA) won in 10.23s and Jamaica’s Yohan Blake was second, also in 10.23s.  Keston Bledman (Trinidad and Tobago) was third in 10.29s.

In Sweden, LJ van Zyl finished 4th (50.21s) in the 400-hurdles at the Diamond League Meeting in Stockholm.  

Team SA will be in action at the African Championships, to take place at the Kings Park Athletics Stadium in Durban from June 22-26.
