Zack Piontek, hpc sponsored judoka competed in the Pan American Open Judo Tournament in Lima, Peru on 5 and 6 March 2016 in preparation for Olympics, where he claimed bronze in the -90kg weight category.
Zack needs to be ranked among the top 22 judokas in the -90kg weight category in the world to go to the games. He plans to compete in three more tournaments until the end of May, which is the cut-off for qualifying for the Games.
His next tournament will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 12 to 13 March.
