Basson Engelbrecht, hpc sponsored triathlete finished in second place with 2:32:51 in the XTERRA Buffelspoort that took place at the ATKV Buffelspoort holiday resort in Magaliesberg, North West, on Sunday 24 January.
The race forms part of the XTERRA cross triathlon series and consisted of a 1.5km swim, 26km mountain bike ride and 12km trail run.
