Cameron vd Burgh bagged two more gold medals in Paris

Cameron vd Burgh, hpc sponsored athlete bagged two more gold medals as the Paris-Chartres leg of the Fina/ airweave Swimming World Cup came to a close on Sunday night.

Cameron who is currently the top overall ranked swimmer following the Moscow leg, was fastest in the 50m breaststroke and claimed the gold with a time of 26.74. The USA’s Brendan Mchugh was second in 27.61 and France’s David Prono Fernandez third in 27.76.

Cameron made it two for two as he also claimed the gold in the 100m breaststroke with an Olympic A Qualification time of 58.97 ahead of the USA’s Nicolas Fink in 1:00.00 and Cody Miller in 1:00.21.

The South African swimming team will be returning home on Monday to rest and prepare for the September legs of the Fina/airweave Swimming World Cup in Hong Kong (25-26/09) and Beijing (29-30/09).

50m breaststroke:

100m breaststroke:
