TuksGolf fired up ahead of the USSA Championships

Posted on June 24, 2015

Impressive performances are expected from the Tuks 1 and 2 golf teams for this coming USSA Championships. Tuks 1 consisting of Marco Loubser, Reinhardt Blaauw, Stephen Morrison, Ryan Lane along manager Emile Steinmann and Tuks 2 with, David Nortje, Zabastian de Jager, Tristan Kempenaar, Andrew Plint and their manager Bradley Nienaber, will line up at world-class field in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu Natal from 29 June – 3 July 2015.

All players in both squads are part of the TuksGolf coaching programmes. The teams have been hard at work taking full advantage of the top class facilities at TuksGolf. The players however still have a few more days to put the finishing touches to their preparations and are making the most of every minute.

"We have a very experienced team this year. I feel that the players have been in good form and I expect them to be right in the mix for the title which they won last year at Koro Creek," said Emile Steinmann, Tuks 1 team manager.

Marco Loubser team captain for Tuks 1 team says that "since we won the Match Play title last year it is up to this year’s team to not only defend it but hopefully add the Stroke Play title to our collection"

Bradley Nienaber, Tuks 2 team manager said that even though the 2nd team, "is an inexperienced team they have a lot of talent and potential. If the team goes out and sticks to the game plan that we put in place, I feel that we could put ourselves in a good position to challenge for the title come Friday."

“We ran a good USSA campaign last year, winning the Stroke Play title, this year we are hoping to take both titles, " said Zabastian de Jager, Tuks 2 team captain.

It seems like it will be the battle of the giants when Tuks 1 takes on Tuks 2 on Friday, 3 July.
