The foursomes matches started at 06h45 on the Firethorn Course. The matches were closely contested during the first nine holes whereby the TUKS team drew first blood when recent new Protea caps, Tertius van den Berg and Werner van Niekerk, beat the pairing of the two Dixon brothers, Michael and Jonathan. Two of the other matches were won by TUKS when Marco Loubser and Jaco Stander won their matches 3&2 and Werner Ferreira and Matthew Spacey came up trumps 2-up on the final green. The pairing of Andrew van der Knaap and Ryan Lane lost their game against a strong pairing from UJ. So the halftime score was TUKS 3 - UJ 1. 

The afternoon singles required TUKS to win at least 3.5 of the potential 8 points on offer. These matches were contested on the Bushwillow course and the players from TUKS were able to accumulate 5.5 points to lift the trophy once again.
