Christiaan and Natania Bester did us proud when they medalled at the 2017 Junior Africa Fencing Champs held in Cote d’Ivoire from 10 – 13 March.
Christiaan aged 15 received Gold in the u/17 Epee, Bronze in the u/17 Foil and Silver in the u/20 Epee,
while his sister Natania, aged 17 received Bronze in u/17 Epee and Gold in u/20 Epee events.
This is the first time ever that South Africa received a medal in every event that they participated in.
