Tuks de Race – Humanities and Theology Faculties Library - Team building 22 November 2021

On 22 November 2021, the Humanities and Theology Faculties Library team participated in the UP Campus Tours scavenger hunt; “Tuks de Race”. We got our feet moving, our minds going and had lots of laughs along the way. We learnt about and discovered the wonderful hidden spaces on the Hatfield Campus, while building new and lasting memories. The aim of the team building exercise was to form new friendships and improve on existing work relationships.

We were split into 3 groups. The winning team of the day was Adrienne Warricker and Busisiwe Mmalefahlo. Well done ladies, for finding all ten clues, figuring out the riddle, getting to each venue and for taking your selfies there. Interestingly one of the clues on the route led us to the OR Tambo Law Library. The route was 4km, and had 10 stops along the way. The organisers, UP Campus Tours, really went the extra mile to ensure we had a good experience. At each venue we collected a tile with a letter, and at the end, the team that won had all letters, which spelt out the word “HUMANITIES”.
