MEET: Nonhle Mtshali, Information Specialist

Give a warm welcome to Ms Nonhle Mtshali - our newly appointed Information Specialist for Procedural Law & Public Law at the OR Tambo Law Library. We asked Nonhle to answer a few questions about herself so that we can learn a bit more about her.

What was your first job?

I worked as graduate assistant in the Information Science Department; working with students on their research projects motivated me in doing my own research. Helping the academic staff with administration work has inspired me to want to become an academic one day.

What led you to this career?

My love of books, reading and researching, assisting others in obtaining the information they need for their assignments or work purposes.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Metallurgical engineering, I was inspired during career exposition in high school.

If you had to pick one age to be permanently, which age would you choose?

I choose age 18 – no adulthood stresses.

If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Tomatoes

What is your favourite sport and which team do you root for?

I like watching football (soccer); at home we all support Orlando Pirates – they are our family team.
