The Research Commons has recently held its 2019 Turnitin & EndNote workshops to great reception. It was held, for the first time, on multiple campuses and this time around provided additional support to Mac users.
Many of the students who attended expressed their gratitude for the training they received and many more asked for the workshop to be held on a more regular basis. The success of this workshop can only be accredited to the knowledgeable speakers and our collaboration with the Department for Education Innovation and library staff who have ensured that these workshops are not only thorough, but thoroughly enjoyed.
The Research Commons would like to thank this year's speakers, who were: Dr Lynette Nagel, Ephenia Peu, Liezl Stieger, Sonja Delport, Mpho Thukane, Lathola Mchunu, Susan Mamabolo, Westley Smith, and Susan Scheepers. We would like to thank these speakers for their excellent services and we hope to work with them again. We would also like to thank the RC guru, Sunette Steynberg, for all her hard work in making these workshops a reality.
The RC hopes to repeat the Turnitin & EndNote workshops more frequently throughout the year to the benefit of our greatly appreciative student base and we hope to extend the reach of our expertise to other campuses, underrepresented faculties, and Mac users.
