The Department of Library Services’ database for submissions of prescribed and recommended books for the second semester of 2019 is now open until 18 April 2019.

Please note the following:
- Prescribed titles are books that students need to buy, therefore this information will be sent to the bookshops, library and other relevant parties.
- Recommended books will be available in the library therefore the bookshops won’t receive this information.
- It is strongly recommended that e-books should be considered and prescribed in line with the University of Pretoria and the Department of Library services’ e-strategy.
- Check the correct edition, year of publishing as well as the publisher of the book/s.
- Please complete the form as fully as possible.
- If your department has a textbook administrator make sure that the necessary information reaches the person well in time before 18 April. Late submissions run the risk that the books might not be available in the bookshops in time.
