“Welcome first years 2018”

This exhibition, the first for the new year, ran from January to February and was aimed at explaining to students the rudiments of the Dewey Decimal Classification system. 

“Teaching and learning Mathematics through stories and games.”

This exhibition consisted of the outcomes of a project whereby students created their own storybooks and games. It was inspired by Dr. Roy Venketsamy, a lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education and was mounted in the Education Library from March to April. Its aim was to assist in the teaching of mathematics.

“Art Education – Social Issues Addressed Through Pop-Up Books.”

Pop-up books, created by students and meant to serve as teaching aids, were put on display from March to April. The project was inspired by the Department of Art and Dr. Raita Steyn.
