Assupol TuksCricket won the NCU Premier League for the seventh year running after ending at the top of the log at the end of the 2016/2017 season. This season Assupol TuksCricket added another milestone to their history books, when Assupol Tuks 2 ended second on the log. This is the first time in history that both the first and second team from the same club ended in first and second positions in the NCU Premier League. 

Due to the massive turnover of players that Assupol TuksCricket experiences during most weeks based on the selection of players for Northerns Senior Provincial, Titans and other teams, the club struggles to field the same teams’ week after week but this creates an opportunity for younger players to get exposed to Premier League Cricket.  

Head Coach of Assupol TuksCricket, Kruger van Wyk said, “I am extremely proud of the continued performance of Assupol TuksCricket in the NCU Premier League. We wanted to ensure that we improve the club’s depth and this special achievement of our top two teams is testament to a lot of hard work from both the coaches and the players. We pride ourselves on our competitive spirit and the demand for places at the club is growing by the day.”
