After Assupol TuksCricket's first match against Pukke was rained out at the 2017 Varsity Cricket week, they started the week with a match against UWC.
UWC won the toss and elected to bowl first. Assupol Tuks scored 137/6 in 20 overs. Rubin Hermann top scored with 35 from 35 balls. Due to the team lost in the PowerPlay Plus over, UWC started their innings with 5 runs on the board.
The batsmen from Cape Town quickly started chasing down the runs but also due to a wicket falling in their PowerPlay Plus over, the target increased to 142. UWC scored the winning runs in the 17th over, winning the match by 8 wickets.
Assupol TuksCricket has a double header day, today with a match against UCT at 9:30 and a match against Kovsies at 14:30.
