After captaining the victorius Tuks team in their first appearance for at the Red Bull Campus Cricket World Finals in July 2014, de Bruyn was selected for the Multiply Titans for the 2014/2015 season. Soon after that, he was selected for the SA A Team for their tour against the English Lions.
At the start of this season, de Bruyn moved to the VKB Knights where he is captaining the side for all their competitions.
