Assupol TuksCricket Acceleration Programme

Posted on November 17, 2016

This new programme gives a cricket player the opportunity to take their cricket to the next level with the help of an intensive termly cricket programme while studying or leaving the country for an overseas cricket season.

The Assupol TuksCricket Acceleration Programme has been designed to suit the individual by giving a player the ability to design their own programme by choosing their own session structure to suit their needs. Players can choose between cricket specific session, sports science sessions and other support services sessions. Cricket specific sessions include batting, bowling and fielding sessions with specific warm up and activation sessions for players. The sport science sessions include strength & conditioning services, video analysis and scientific testing. The other support service sessions include nutrition and psychology sessions. All sessions will be presented at the world-class facilities that Assupol TuksCricket has to offer including the CSA Centre of Excellence.

The programme has been divided into four terms and each term will have a minimum amount of sessions that a player must attend to make the programme effective. Also, players can decide how many terms per year they would like to attend per year. This new structure will give players the opportunity to be part of an intensive cricket programme while pursing their studies or going overseas for a season of Club Cricket.

Head of Programme at Assupol TuksCricket, Kruger van Wyk spoke about the new programme and said, “At Assupol TuksCricket we have always taken pride in providing the best environment for players to chase and realize their dreams. We lead the way in producing world-class performers and the exciting new Acceleration Programme provides the platform for the new generation to experience the best coaching, sport science services and facilities that is on offer. We are extremely excited to be launching this world class, elite programme and we cannot wait to get started in January.”

The Acceleration Programme will be starting in January and players are welcome to join on a termly basis. For more information on this programme please contact Blanche Conradie on 012 420 6124 or [email protected]
