At the 2015 CSA Annual Awards, Assupol TuksCricket player, Murray Coetzee was awarded the CSA Student Cricket Player of the Year Award after an outstanding season on the University Cricket scene.
Murray was named Player of the Tournament at the 2014 USSA A Cricket Week after he scored 202 runs during the week at an average of 101 with a highest score of 119. He played a leading role in securing victory for Tuks. He was also selected for the SA USSA side that played in the CSA Future Cup in Kimberly in April this year. At the CSA Future Cup Murray scored 161 runs at an average of 40 and made a high score of 79 with a strike rate of 152.
At the Varsity Cricket week in Potchefstroom in February 2015, he scored 272 runs during the week at an average of 34 and a highest score of 97. His all-round ability as a keeper-batsman played a massive role in many of TuksCricket's vicotry this past season.
Murray is currently studying a MBChB at the University of Pretoria.
