TuksCricket Donate Kit to Local High School

Posted on July 15, 2014

The handover was done by TuksCricket Head Coach, Pierre de Bruyn; assistant coaches, Andre Nel, Francois Louw and Onke Mtsiba; and Tuks players Tian Koekemoer, Gerry Pike and Corbin Bosch.

TuksCricket Head Coach, Pierre de Bruyn said “This is part of TuksCricket’s outreach programme where the Club reaches out to players less fortunate to give them the best opportunity to improve their cricket. TuksCricket would like to take hands with schools like these to help develop cricket players at school level. The University of Pretoria’s door is open to help any player or school with the development of their cricket.”

The Headmaster of Hoërskool Hendrik Verwoerd, Hennie du Toit, said that they were privileged to be able to receive the kit from TuksCricket as three months ago a storeroom with all their kit burnt down. He also said he looks forward to walking a path with TuksCricket in the future.
