Finite Element Analysis and Applications

Finite Element Analysis, originally developed for structural analysis, is a versatile tool for approximating solutions to a wide range of complicated engineering problems across a wide range of industries. The seminars will cover fundamental theory and practical applications of finite element analysis. The objective is to present and discuss developments in modeling techniques, appreciation of inherent errors, and the effect of the quality of results. Thus the seminar series will provide an opportunity to introduce a whole spectrum of issues that are critical in the application of finite element analysis and it will start with introductory talks to introduce participants to the concepts for preparation for more advanced topics.
