The One Health High Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP) has released its annual report for 2021.  Launched in May 2021 by the Tripartite (FAO, OIE, and WHO) and UNEP, this panel aims to enhance multi-sectoral coordination and collaboration nationally and internationally to better prevent, prepare for, and respond to zoonotic diseases emergence. The University of Pretoria's Prof Wanda Markotter, who holds the Future Africa Research Chair in People, Health and Place, and the DSI/NRF South African Research Chair in Infectious Diseases of Animals (Zonooses), is a co-chair of the OHHLEP. This report summarizes the activities and results achieved in the 10 months of existence by the 26 experts of the OHHLEP.
