On 16 August 2023, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), together with the United Nations Development Programme in Pretoria (UNDP) and the University of Pretoria’s (UP) Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship (CAS), hosted a launch for Professor Adekeye Adebajo's biography "Boutros Boutros-Ghali: Afro-Arab Prophet, Pharaoh, and Pope".

The event included a keynote address by Professor Adebajo, a response from Mr Zaheer Laher, Acting Deputy Director-General: Global Governance and Continental Agenda at DIRCO, and the event was chaired by Mr Nelson Muffuh, Resident Coordinator of UN in South Africa.
