On 27 August 2022, Professor Adekeye Adebajo provided his analysis on Africa's strategies for increased security, and political and economic stability. He was intereviewed on Newzroom Afrika. 

Professor Adebajo expanded on calls for economic decolonisation, stating that "Africa has to work with allies in the global South countries, like China, Brazil, India, Indonesia, to increase its leverage and influence in Western dominated insitutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the World Trade Organisation". In addition, he called on African countries to focus on "national cohesiveness and unity,.. [building] strong internal economies" and increasing industrialisation.
