In the second issue of Re.Search, Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship postdoctoral fellow Dr Agnetta Nyabundi reports on her study into Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) and the role of mobile phones in addressing the challenges of under-five child morbidity and mortality.
In November 2021, the Univeristy of Pretoria launched the first issue of our new multimedia-rich e-magazine, Re.Search, which is available on the University of Pretoria’s (UP) dedicated science communication platform, Research Matters. The first issue focused on the theme of ‘Sustainability’ – Issue 2 highlights ‘Innovation’. More details on this second issue is available here.
In the article, Dr Nyabundi indicates that the informal integration of mobile phones within iCCM in hard-to-reach areas would open up exciting new spaces of care by improving the processes of child healthcare.
