On 9 February 2022, senior research fellow at the Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship Professor Adekeye Adebajo was interviewed on Newzroom Afrika to provide an analysis on how challenges to Africa may unfold over the course of 2022. Africa enters the year amid a series of unfortunate events: coups, conflicts and crippling debt and Professor Adebajo assess the challenges region by region, identifying what he believes to be the key issues that need to be addressed by African countries and regions in 2022. 

In addtion to outlinging the challenges facing Africans, Professor Adebajo also pointed to the hope he holds in the youth of the continent. He pointed to the amaxing innovations being developed among the youth, but emphasised the need for governments to create enabling environments for these innovations to succeed.
