Research

The Centre has produced publications on themes such as Prophetic Theology and Public Theology; The Scope for the Churches to Play a Public Role in Democratic South Africa and held important conferences that reflected on themes such as Violence in relation to the task of Christian Churches. In its work with communities the Centre has intentionally enhanced the place of grassroots work in its conferences and roundtables already with a publication on one of the informal settlements, Thabo Mbeki Village, close to Diepsloot in Johannesburg. In November this year, among others, the Centre will host a conference on Theology in Twenty Years of Democracy in South Africa.
