Adams & Adams Research Fellowship in Biodiversity, Bioresources and Biosecurity Law

The ideal candidate will hold appropriate LLM and BSc degrees (for LLD research), LLB and MSc degrees (for PhD research) or an appropriate LLD or PhD (for postdoctoral research).  The project will be jointly supervised by Professor Steve Cornelius, Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Law and Professor Don Cowan, Director of the Centre for Microbial Ecology and Genomics.

 

The successful candidate will be registered as postgraduate student or postdoctoral researcher in the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria and will be required to complete doctoral research in accordance with the appropriate Faculty regulations or to prepare a publishable monograph in the case of a postdoctoral researcher. The successful candidate will also be expected to work at least 10 hours per week at the Centre for Intellectual Property Law and/or the Centre for Microbial Ecology and Genomics, depending on qualifications and as determined by the directors of the respective Centres.

The position is available from 1 July 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
