Anderson - History Maker!

Posted on August 13, 2013

Shaun Anderson will make history by being the first South African Para-Archer to compete against able body Archers at the World Cup Championships in Warsaw, Poland from 20 - 26 August 2013.

From an early age Shaun was an athletic person and always took part in sport. After an accident in 2004, he lost the use of his left arm. In November 2010 he picked up a compound bow and took his first shot.

Very soon Shuan was on the line and competing fearlessly. He was so persistent and involved that the South African National Archery Association (SANAA) decided to create the South African National Para Archery Committee in 2012 and voted Shaun in as chairperson to develop and promote the sport in South Africa.

Shaun is a member of the Tuks Archery Club, and spends many hours training at the TuksArchery Range.
