Welcome to the website of the Department of Ancient and Modern Languages and Cultures!
Here you will find helpful information on who we are and what our academic offerings and research specialities are.
The existence of the Department of Ancient and Modern Languages and Cultures is the result of a merger of the Departments of Ancient Languages and Cultures and Modern European Languages in 2018.
The Department presents a selection of subjects and specialisations on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels on ancient languages and cultures (Ancient Culture Studies, Classical Hebrew, Latin, and New Testament Greek, and Medical Terminology), and modern languages and cultures (French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish).
We also conduct research within these specialisations on national and international levels.
We look forward to meeting you!
