The department of African Languages is proud to announce in praise, that one of their colleagues, Ms Refilwe Morongwa Ramagoshi received her PhD during the spring graduation ceremony in 2015.

Ms Refilwe Ramagoshi has a lot of Education, Teaching, Training and Development experience, hence the choice of her topic.

In her thesis she researched and wrote about the “Teaching of idioms as part of imaginative language in Grade 3 Setswana classes”, which is a requirement for the teaching of mother-tongue speakers and learners of Setswana.

She divided her thesis into two phases, one phase dealt with the imaginative language and the other phase dealt with the design and the implementation of the programme she created.

Congratulations Ms Ramagoshi on this achievement!
