Although a faculty asset, the refurbishing of the language laboratories complex is managed by Prof Danie Prinsloo. The facility is already fully functional. Three language labs are fully equipped with computers and language learning programs. The complex will have more than 70 computers in total. It consists of three computer labs, a state-of-the-art translation and interpreting hall with five double booths, a resource centre, an audio lab, a control room, four rooms for language training in smaller groups and two offices. The resource centre has an open plan design with four work stations for researchers to explore our text and terminology resources. Entry to all facilities is via an attractive foyer with Plasma screens for rolling presentations intended to reflect the dynamic pulse of the complex on entry.
