History

The Students for Law and Social Justice (SLSJ) was formed in 2007. Its aim is to expose law students nationally to the potential of the law as a mechanism for advancing a society founded upon the principles of the rule of law and social justice.

This is evident in its campus work through the development of a variety of programmes including; student advice programmes where law students set and support para-legal advice offices in townships; a legal education programme for informal traders, and 'jogs for justice'.
