Danie du Plessis from the Department of Accounting of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria, attended the conference and also presented a paper on money laundering, terrorist financing and diamonds. Dubai is a free trade zone and that increases its vulnerability to the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing.
