It was a time of excitement and rejoicing. Thirty-six students received their BCom (Accounting Sciences) degrees – the first step towards becoming a chartered accountant. Another 24 students were even a step closer and received their BCom (Honours) (Accounting Sciences) degrees and the Certificate in the Theory of Accountancy (CTA).

Joyce Lubuma and Lucia Tsoku both received their BCom (Accounting Sciences) degrees with distinction – a remarkable achievement. Karabo Neluheni and Marcus Howard, who received their BCom (Honours) (Accounting Sciences) degrees, are currently working as academic trainees in the Department of Accounting and the Department of Auditing respectively. They are both currently registered for the MCom(Taxation) degree.

The Thuthuka students have consistently achieved outstanding results throughout their studies and are excellent ambassadors for Thuthuka and the University of Pretoria. We look forward to watching their progress in the future.
