Presenter: Sarah Wild

 

More about the presenter: Sarah Wild is a multi-award-winning science journalist. She studied physics, electronics and English literature at Rhodes University and has worked as science editor at Business Day and the Mail & Guardian. In 2012, she published her first full-length non-fiction book Searching African Skies: The Square Kilometre Array and South Africa’s Quest to Hear the Songs of the Stars, and in 2013 she was named the best science journalist in Africa by Siemens in their 2013 Pan-African Profiles Awards. In 2015, she published her second book Innovation: Shaping South Africa through Science, and won the CNN-Multichoice African Journalist of the Year Award, category: innovation. She was also part of the Mail & Guardian team that in 2015 won the Vodacom Journalist of the Year, category: sustainability.
