Law Clinic represents UP at Society of Southern African Law Teachers Conference

Staff members from the Clinic delivered the following papers:
 
  • Charlotte van Sittert:  "Fixing Humpty Dumpty: Past, present and future efforts to make the National Credit Act work".
     
  • Lourens Grové:  "Substituted Service: Revisiting the old and exploring the new".
     
  • Soretha Venter:  "Execution of maintenance orders: Is the maintenance process failing the child on the street?"
     
  • Trish Erasmus:  "The Best Interests of the Child: Should a parent accused of sexually abusing a child be allowed unsupervised contact with the child while there is a pending criminal case against him?"
     
  • Jeanne-Mari Retief: "Paper v practice: the scope and limit of s206 in providing a remedy for a non-party to an extended collective agreement"
     
  • Michael Shackleton:  "Judicial control of presidential pardons".
