From 10-13 February 2014 the Comparative and International Education Society Conference was held in Toronto, Canada. A panel, as elected by the chair-holder Prof. Ann Skelton , Mary Mercalfe and other partners in the Right to Education sector, presented on 'Strategic litigation and the struggle for quality and equal education in South Africa'. The panel for this conference was chaired by Mary Metcalfe, the then chairperson of the Open Society Foundation.
